Maclander's Manifesto

Mac OS (X ofcourse, 9 is dead) is a secure, Virus free operating system. Deal with it. Symantec experts can talk as much as they want, but  this terrorism race has been running quite a long time now and must come to an end. Understand this: Keeping this fear of "upcoming" viruses constant is vital for such companies, bringing more sales  and money for them. A noteable difference is that although there do exist hundreds of viruses written for wintel pc's, there has been no single report for the Mac OS (ACTUAL, not harmless proof of concept). Also keep in mind that far too many of the viruses "in the wild"  are an act of "protest" against Bill Gates or M$. I doubt that someone would create a virus for the Mac OS, when Apple changed the world. It seems that the only one who could possibly have reasons to make a virus for the mac could be Symantec, but there are two facts.

1. Mac OS is a solid, safe operating system leaving no chance for intruders.
2. Nahh... they wouldn't even bother to do so. The fear and mayhem they spread with their hoax-like reports is enough to keep their sales up.

Probably Apple should sue them.

Trust your Mac as your Mac trusts you and fear nothing. You got a Macintosh.
